Google Maps

If you are like most of the people I know, your browser's default page is set to Google. Did you know that Google offers driving directions and maps just like MapQuest? Google Maps.com is safe, efficient and fast. If you are in a hurry and need to figure out the quickest way to get to the destination of your choice, Google Maps is a website you should look into. You do not need to sign up register and even better, it's free. No more paying for over-priced confusing maps at the gas station, or having to ask a stranger how to get through all the one-ways downtown. All you need to do is go to www.maps.google.com and hit "get directions". There you will type in where you are currently located and then type in where you want to go. It will give you street level directions to where you want to go. You can click on any of the fifty states on the main screen if you need directions out of town or out of state. If you are in a hurry and do not have much time to sit on a computer and then pr
int off directions, or if you are like me and almost always never have black ink, you can have the directions sent to your mobile phone. If you do not need directions at all and are just checking the site out you can hit "browse popular maps" and it will show you maps and journeys of famous people. For example, the recent presidential election site maps are on there. You can follow Obama's trip across the U.S. There are a lot of interesting things you can do and find on Google Maps.com whether you really do need directions or are researching something out of boredom. No more hour trips to get downtown or getting lost and getting angry because you knew you should have looked before you left. Keep that extra change for that convenient store map in your pocket because all you had to do was log on, type in a little information and be on your way in a fast, easy and free way. |
